Gorilla

It's nice when you have a some spare time (what is that?) you can actually spend more time drawing. I've got a new idea in my head for a proposal that is heavily involved with animals, so I wanted to test my skills on drawing animals. Here's the first test drawing of a gorilla. Can't really say much more about it than that. It started out as a quick pencil sketch, but I thought it was strong enough to take the pen to it.... so I did!

Death Dealer

Wow! Two posts in one day! I guess that means I'm moving in the right direction (or you won't hear from me again in a month)!

Image Comics has brought Frank Frazetta's Death Dealer back into print, which is just sweet. To celebrate the launch of the character, the team that is putting together this book is holding a pinup contest, and I just couldn't resist entering. The Death Dealer has got to be one of the most challenging figures to illustrate next to Spiderman. Hopefully I've done some justice to Mr. Frazetta's creation.

More Sequentials!

Seems like everytime I write I'm saying I want to post more, but I guess it's because I'm spending alot of time at the drawing board (and doing freelance), so I can't really say it's a bad thing. I just posted a new set of sequentials which is part of pitch for another comic book proposal. I pretty happy with the art, and I think the story is alot of fun as well. I'm sure once my buddy Rus get's the lettering done (he's slacking, workin on Invincible, and Walking Dead), the pages will look really sweet. In any case, here's a taste of what could be.....
